Sunday School (age 3 years thru 5th grade)

Peace Lutheran
Sunday School
9:45 am

Our Sunday School begins each morning by welcoming the children with music from Alene Kidd, our church organist.  We then continue with birthday celebrations and things that will be happening in our day, and we close with the Lord’s Prayer. We have a Bible lesson and do an activity sheet or craft.

We will continue our Bible Buck$ Program. It seems to be a hit with our kids. With this program, the children earn $$ to purchase prizes, like candy or small toys. This makes them want to be more responsible by remembering to bring their Bibles to class, participating in class and helping to clean up at the end of class. This program also encourages our children to bring friends to hear about Jesus. The older children are required to keep track of their own buck$ and the preschool and kindergarten teachers will keep track of their students buck$.

The teachers are really happy with the participation of the children in class and their attendance.
Earn Bible Buck$ in the following ways:
+ Bring your Bible $1
+ Class Participation $1
+ Clean Up $1
+ Memory Work $2
+ Church Attendance $2
+ S. S. Attendance (4 weeks in a row) $5
+ Bring a friend $10

Bible Buck$ may be used to purchase prizes on the first and last Sundays of the month.

Help is needed occasionally throughout the year with programs and special projects, subbing and aides for the classroom.  If you are willing to help in any of these areas, please let Diane Bennett know.  You can see her during Sunday School or contact the church office during the week at (815) 436-9847.

To register your child online for Sunday School, you may go to the bottom of the homepage and click on SS Registration. Or simply come on a Sunday morning and sign your child up in person. Either way, we will welcome them to Peace Lutheran Sunday School.
